I have a question about Runes. Do they have to be made out of wood? If I make them myself, putting my essence into them, would that matter if I make them with polymer clay, or must they be of natural materials like wood or stone? Thanks.

Make them with whatever is comfortable to you. Mine are made from pine molding from a home improvement store and serve me quite well. Thanks for the inquiry.

Imagine my surprise upon doing a web search, to find my way to your page and the 1st thing I read is that know about Camp Gaea. I have been a part of the community for almost 30 years. i too started out Wiccan but soon after found a path that includes being Heathen. i poked around your site to make sure you were not a Heathen of the Nazi type and was happy to find that is so. It seems like not much has happened here for the last 8 years. I hope you and yours are well. Small World. Be safe. Wash your hands. Wear a mask.

Definitely not Nazi. As a matter of fact, I do everything I can do to rail against everything Nazi every chance I get. Nazis have no claim on our faith, nor have they ever, really. Neither the Prose nor Poetic Edda ever speak of Heathenry being a white man's religion. I simply do not understand the Folkish point of view, nor how they decide who has what percentage of Germanic blood. The Norse people were world travelers. Heathenry needs to be a world-accepting faith. Thanks for the contact. Be well. Be safe.

I have decided years ago to be solitary. I tried to head two kindreds and both ended poorly. If you have any questions about Heathenry I would always try to answer them.
