be Christian I said a bit casually, “It’s your god that has made it so hot!”
She responded with “He must think we need it. If nothing else it will drive you
to pray.” I responded with “Noooooooo…” My business done and went back by her
again and she looked at me with folded hands. “I’ll pray to Odin and Thor
first…” and that started a whole rig-a-maro about my former life as a Christian
and how I should be teaching my Heathen group about the one true god rather than
my “cartoon” gods. OMGs! I went livid and she was the recipient of my anger!
As I threw up my hands to walk away she was shouting at me, “Think about what I
told you!” Back at my work station, I just couldn’t let this go. I went back
to her to let her know she deeply offended me. Long story short: she quickly
apologized. I accepted her apology. I told her I’m glad she apologized because
my purpose for coming back was to tell her she owed me an apology and I wasn’t
going to speak to her again until she did so.
