Outcome: This bodes well for my doctor’s visit today

My doc visit went pretty well. Some of my lab results were a bit high but have at least stabilized. The hope is with my new workout schedule and awareness of the situation they will come down by next visit. What ISN’T stable is my weight; it keeps going up. It wasn’t that long ago I was comfortable at 240; now I’m 270: SHIT! I spent some time online downloading information from the VA website about managing weight.

Audie continues in a funk

She decided she had to go hock her ring again. She gets a bit of money and off she goes to the bar. When I dropped her off at Merle’s she said she intended to get drunk.

Studied some online stuff for class

While studying I saw Audie come up the driveway. Evidently she didn’t get as drunk as she said she was going to get. I think she only grabbed lunch, but then she took it upon herself to walk home: yes, walk home SHIT! I refuse to let her instability destabilize my life.

My appointment at the Consumer Credit Counseling Service went pretty well, too. It seems I am doing very well with the little bit of money I have coming in. Finances are as stable as they can be.

Came home and Audie is crashed out on the sofa

Once again I tried to get Audie to talk to me and she refused.

I gotta keep up the study effort…

     She still isn’t at 100%; I can tell the difference.

Home by 1 PM and Audie was napping

I gotta admit I watched more of the Olympics today than I ever have. I have found a new sport that I have been hesitant to embrace. Now, I must come to grip with my affection for the game of curling: yes, CURLING!

It amazed me how intense it really is and how much I totally got into it. I enjoy it; I absolutely enjoy it!

So…I don’t necessarily care for ANY American sports; not baseball, not basketball, not NASCAR or football. My love of sports has more of a European flare: soccer/futball, rugby, Indy Car racing, volleyball (whether or not it’s European I still like it) and now…curling!   My European heritage continues to surface; however, I doubt that I will ever appreciate cricket.

As much as I appreciate these positive Runes it certainly isn’t what I’m feeling like. Yesterday was bad enough with a positive Fehu Rune compared to not feeling like doing anything for class. Today with both Hagalaz AND Fehu it seems like Audie is on the brink of going back into her funk; which doesn’t help me any as I try to prepare for class later this afternoon.

FRUSTRATION: ARGH!

Studied: completed more online stuff for class.

I just closed my credit card account that I have had for about 20 yrs. I maintain a zero balance and now only use it for emergencies. Citi Bank wants to charge me a $60 fee if I don’t make $2,400 purchases annually with my card. They gave me the option to close my account and I took them up on it. So, if I make purchases and can’t pay it off at the end of the month, I get charged an exorbitant interest fee and if I don’t make any purchases at all I still would get charged a $60 fee for keeping it: NO THANK YOU AND FUCK OFF CITI BANK. I’ll find another one elsewhere.

What the hel is going on with her? I told her that Fat Cat was coming our way (Fat Cat is a stray we have taken to feed upon demand). Usually she move’s out to the porch to make sure he has some food, but not this time: listless, apathetic…I don’t get it.

Coming home from class and Audie is already in bed. WTF?

Ya know…today has just SUCKED. I’m not going to discuss it any further than that.

Hagalaz? Fehu? BAH!

Studied most all morning

I’m going to need to be creative to get thru this Anatomy class; that’s for sure!

Audie is acting kind of strange lately…I don’t think it’s anything to be concerned about yet.

Physiology is still a bit of a fog; and I am not alone! Many others are in the same boat.

When I came home from class Audie had already crashed. I immediately put her to bed even though is was only 6 PM.

If this is a new beginning I’m not too crazy about it. Audie and I both are kind of out of sorts; mine is more of an attitude of “I’m not sure what to do..”

I’m not too sure if I have 2 yrs of study left in me but I KNOW I have no real interest in going back to Heritage even IF this Newman thing bombs. What I need to do is keep my creative options open.

Yeah, it’s going to be a pretty stressful day of studying since I have put it off too long this weekend.

I took Audie to Logan’s Roadhouse for her Valentines Day Lunch. My steak had to be sent back to cook a bit more and Audie didn’t like her steak at all. The establishment made it right though and didn’t charge me for hers. I go to steakhouses like that for Audie; I’m totally fine with a burger.

Study: got all my online stuff done for A and P.

It’s a stressful thing to be in another room knowing that my Audie is just feet away in another room. I would much rather be there with her. The only way I can justify it is awareness of the reason for the separation; that is, our future and my need to make myself marketable in today’s economy.

At least with Naudiz I know there is a REASON for the stress in the form of evolutionary change.

Ostara/Idun, keeper of the golden apples of youth, keep us young inside. I proposed to the study group that I do the extra credit page while one does the intro, another does the conclusion and two work on the graph. My proposal was met with enthusiasm.

When I came home I offered to help Audie get ready for tonight. OMGs did she take me up on that! She gave me a HUGE honey-do list and sent me off.

With this weekend in mind I stopped off at Town West Mall before tending to the list. I stopped off at Belden’s Jewelers to get Audie her V-Day gifts.

Then it was off to complete the honey-do list.

Once at home, in the middle of Audie busting her ass around the house, I approached her a 2nd time and this time she caved! When she opened her necklace she was happy enough, but when she opened her ring she was absolutely beside herself! Believe me, it’s not an expensive ring; after all I AM still laid off, but I spent the max I could and still want to take her out to lunch/dinner on Sunday. I just need to reiterate how much she totally enjoyed her gifts!

It was a GREAT meeting with the potential members for Rheinwood; or should I say, the new probationers for Rheinwood! Everything went so well and all were well received in all directions! Audie and Kami REALLY came through with this one: the food was superb! It’s a wonderful time for Wotan to be granting us his favor!

Okay, so no studying was done; I’ll pick it up again tomorrow.

Hem-hawed around all morning

Studied just a bit

The visit with the Vet Rep at the Kansas Works office was practically a waste of my time; but if I didn’t go in they would have no doubt reported my absence to the unemployment office and would not have boded well. So I just sucked it up and dealt with it.

On the way home I ran into my best buddy from Heritage and her husband: THEY’RE GREAT!

Took Meeka to Meeka Park: it’s nothing special, just an urban, fenced off place where she can really run free. OMGs, you should have seen her: when she gets all excited and tears out to run these HUGE circles at full blast it’s an hilarious sight to behold!

Picked up a couple of Rx for Audie

I got Burger King and Audie got Taco Tico

We had a surprise visit from one of Audie’s friends. One of her old colleagues from Midwest Service Bureau died. She’s handling it as best she can.

Audie FINALLY made it into the plasma place. She’s been working on her iron levels and her blood pressure. It seems her efforts have been fruitful.

Beer run (B-double-E-double R U-N spells beer run…)

I don’t mind Anatomy class at all. Prior to Anatomy lecture I found out there are several students having problems with the way the Physiology professor is presenting his material in relation to his exam: So I’m not the Lone Ranger in this one. We really are trying to “protect” each other from the “dangers lurking” in an extremely “stressful” situation (ROFLMFnAO).

Came home to a sleepy Audie…and off she goes…

Meeka for a walk: When out with Meeka I called one of the Rheinwood Kindred members. She was in the middle of what could be a physical crisis. I told her I’d check on her later. May our gods “protect” her from “possible dangers lurking” that could cause her “stress”.

OMGs; that Linenkugel Honey Weiss is REALLY Yummy (http://www.leinie.com/honey_weiss.html : so much so it could very well something about which I need “protection” from a possible “enemy from the outside” that could cause me some real “stress”; that is, too much beer!

Checked on Kami: everything is fine now! She may need to be more careful for her diet, however.

I stepped down as the owner of Central Sates Heathens http://groups.yahoo.com/group/central_states_heathens/ email list on Yahoo. It was a very difficult thing to do as she was my creation over 8 yrs ago. I just don’t have the heart to baby-sit it any more; much less an ability to create meaningful conversation. I turned it over to a guy out of Kansas City: it’s just time to do this.

Outcome: So, I’m going to victory over antisocial behavior: LOL

I had the oddest experience at Physiology lab. We did an experiment on relaxation with measured responses. I was the subject/victim. To make a long story short, I FELL ASLEEP, and that wasn’t a bad thing for the experiment. Not only did I fall asleep, BUT ALSO I STARTED SNORING!!!!!!! Ewwww….the class had a good chuckle with that one, and so did I; well, and Audie too for that matter. She says she feel vindicated: not that others have heard my snoring, too: LOL!

Damn good core workout…

Once again I feel as though I aced the Anatomy ID lab quiz. Last quiz I got all but one right, but she always includes an extra point question, so I still made a perfect score, just didn’t get the extra credit. This time I think I got all of them right PLUS the extra credit question!
