OKC friends came in early evening but that turned out to be just fine.  All of Rheinwood plus kids plus  OKC friends gathered to honor Tyra.  There was lots of conversation and pizza beforehand.  At first I wasn’t going to utilize the Hof but at the urging of a Kindred member we did.  As we ALL gathered in the Hof one could feel the emotion beginning to rise.  There were lots of stories, tears and hails!  I’m not sure how long we went but I’m SURE we went well past midnight.  OKC are returning tomorrow morning so I can fix them breakfast.

See?  Here’s my concern with Essie being left alone too long.  This fucking woman across the street lets her Yorkie out unattended.  It took off after Fish.   Socks noticed this and hi-tailed under the Vue.  Essie noticed it but was oblivious to the danger.  THIS is why I keep a close eye on her.

My first effort to create a PowerPoint presentation was fairly successful.  With this first effort I calculate I have 127 out of 165 available point just for the presentation.  I still have four days to perfect it.  The final 35 points comes from making comments on others’ presentation.  That I can do.

NOTE: Before the crack-o-dawn I always go outside to tend to Socks.  If he’s in the Hof he needs to come out.  If he’s been outside all night he needs to go in the Hof to eat.  After letting Socks in the Hof I headed back inside.  Shortly after doing so, I noticed Dapper, a cat from across the street, at my front door.  Something must really be wrong for dapper to do that, usually it means he’s hungry.  He must’ve missed his normal feeding so I dropped some kitty kibble onto the porch to tie him over until he could get some food from his home.

Started planning my PowerPoint presentation.  I have no idea how this is going to work.

Time at Southside wasn’t horrible.  I finished most everything, but now the BIG job of preparing a PowerPoint presentation by Sunday.

OMGs yes, those tomatoes are ripening quickly now.  It’s all I can do not to pick them ahead of time.  I want to let them ripen on the vine.

I have NEVER seen a cat turn up a nose at tuna, but Essie certainly did.  Toby certainly did not.

I met with the wedding couple this evening.  Short and sweet is what they want, short and sweet is what they’re gonna get.

Wrote the wedding message…short and sweet.

Bedtime potty walk with only Toby.  Essie on her tether.  It was so cute to see Socks make a conscious decision to stay behind to be with Essie.  How romantic!

Tyra’s memorial service went as well as could be expected, a  bit lengthy but not horrid.

At the graveside service the pastor not only was beyond rude but unleashed his Christianity.  He was beyond rude by singing happy birthday to one of his own parishioners after the family had started gathering around the graveside.  For the Christianity part, I thought there was an agreement there wasn’t going to be any.  Something must’ve changed somewhere.

My final mileage check came in which justified a trip to the bank.

Early in the spring birds started building a nest in my mailbox.  As a matter of fact, I got a new mailbox to replace the mailbox the birds were using.  For the longest time they’ve abandoned their efforts.  Lately, I’ve noticed the birds were back.  Inspecting the mailbox, yup, they’re loading it up.

The VA returned my call and left a message.  It seems they want to do physical therapy on my shoulder.  I’ll talk to them to see if it can work into my schedule.

Called my doctor at the VA about my shoulder pain.  It’s getting pretty bad.  It seems they may want to x-ray.

I did really well at Computer Apps.  I passed an exam WITHOUT the help of Czar!
Almost mid-July, mid afternoon, and it’s only 89F?  WOW!

Welding on the other hand…BAH!  Hindsight is always perfect 20/20.  I should never have taken this class.
