NOTE: I had to respond to this:
(In response to “Gift of Faith” Dec 10th)
I believe there are many people out there like me. I spent 39 years of my life trying to make the Christian faith work. I was born Mennonite, turned Church of God (Cleveland) turned Assembly of God. No matter what I did, no matter what I tried, nothing seemed
sufficient; nothing seemed to fulfill me long-term.
Thirteen years ago I stepped out of the forest to see the trees. I started studying other faiths. The whole world opened up to me. It seems that every culture worth its salt has a
religious expression in place to help tell their stories. There are many other very interesting ways to express faith; Christianity being only one of them.
So my challenge to unengaged Christians is to give yourself a gift this Holiday Season. Study the various faiths of the World. Perhaps there’s a reason why you’re struggling so. Perhaps you’re not meant to be a Christian. Not everyone in the world is meant to be a Christian. Perhaps your personal heritage is telling you that you have something already spiritual in you that needs to be expressed in another way. Do this, and you will give yourself the greatest gift ever!
Fruchtbarkeit, we pray to Fro/Freyr, and to Sibba/Sif, lighting green candles (for fertility):
Fro/Freyr, you are the god of “Ar”, the good harvest and prosperity: you are indeed the lusty enlarger of life. When the day to day wears us down, remind us of pleasures and joys. Help us recall the wonderful excesses that brought our lives into being and which sustain the human spirit during good times and bad. Without you, there would be no life and certainly little delight. Thank you, Fro/Freyr, for the rushing life spirit and the eternal play of passions that make our lives fruitful. We honor the Fro/Freyr that resides in us.
Let us see you in all the growing things that sustain our lives. Help us look beyond the packaging and promotion, to the richness of the Earth from which all bounty comes. When ordinary eyes see only corn, let us see your golden hair hid in its silk. When others see only bread, let us see the grain, beyond that, your smile and laughter. Feed our might and main, Holy Sibba/Sif, that we may do our work in the world. We honor the Sibba/Sif that resides in us. HAIL SIBBA/SIF!!

Holy Runes send my way
Advice on how to spend the day
Outcome: HAHAHAHA…see? Considering the above “Note“, the Runes DO have a sense of humor. In addition, we as a Kindred have had a major realization, an awakening.

Meeka and I to Meeka park. On the way Meeka finally saw her Beagle buddy. OMGs, she was so happy. He was so glad to piss across the fence and Meeka was so glad to sniff it. They really do like each other. Once in Meeka park it certainly didn’t take long for her to run like the wind; not just once but twice. She knows she has all sorts of room to run and she takes advantage of it. Once around the fence row, smells galore and back home. It’s a good walk for both of us.
Audie out and about with her best friend
I visited with my brother
Reality hit. I opted to make a trip to the Mall to cancel the layaway I had for Audie @ Belden Jewelers. I wandered the Mall for Plan B but go so depressed, I just left.
Taco Tico http://tacotico.com/ for dinner
Blockbuster http://www.blockbuster.com/ for a couple of movies
* Rango http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1192628/ for Audie
*The Conspirator http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0968264/ for me
Audie fell asleep early so I watched my movie: IT’S A WOW; a very good Civil War, legal beagle movie; Gut-wrenching, to say the least. It’s very well done. I HIGHLY recommend it.
After the movie I took Meeka out to potty. This time I opted to take her North for a short outing. An unfamiliar neighbor came home. When they opened the car door some pesky little dog was all over Meeka quicker than you could say Jack-Flash. I called Meeka off and she behaved; no so for the pest. Not wanting to make a scene and making sure Meeka was behaving, I simply called over to the neighbor, ”Could you call your dog, please?” At least the pest was gone soon enough.

PM Prayer: Forseti:
As the son of Baldr and Nanna, we call out to you in our time of need. You are the god of justice and reconciliation. We know that justice is a double-edged ax. On the one side, if our argument is right, grant us the proper conclusion. On the other side, if our argument is fraudulent, meat-out justice accordingly. Whether in the court of legal proceedings or the court of public opinion, grant us the justice according to the rightness of our deeds. We honor the Forseti that resides in us. HAIL FORSETI!
