Plans: VA appt, class
A.M. Prayer: Friday, we pray to the glorious siblings, Uualburga Frouwa/Freyja and Ing Fro/Freyr, and lighting a gold candle (for Freyja’s tears and Freyr’s golden boar, Gullinbursti).
Uualburga Frouwa/Freyja, who could not love you? Women admire you for your own inner glory and highest attainment as the self-made woman, men for your beauty, passion and strength. Praise to you for the gift of life, and for the love that makes life worth living. Remind us always that it is the strong who love the best and the most, and that only the mighty can truly be gentle. Fill our lives with passion and lust that we may live our lives to the fullest. HAIL UUALBURGA FROUWA/FREYJA!!
Ing Fro/Freyr, you are the god of “Ar”, the good harvest and prosperity: you are indeed the lusty enlarger of life. When the day to day wears us down, remind us of pleasures and joys. Help us recall the wonderful excesses that brought our lives into being and which sustain the human spirit during good times and bad. Without you, there would be no life and certainly little delight. Thank you, Ing Fro/Freyr, for the rushing life spirit and the eternal play of passions that make our lives fruitful. ING FRO/FREYR, HAIL!!

Advice on how to spend the day
Outcome: RATS!
The visit back to the VA went quickly. Appointments at the VA usually take a while. I went in at 9AM for a 9:45 visit figuring it to take a while but such was not the case. I checked in and didn’t even finish one page before they called me in. It was actually one of the most pleasant experiences there: pretty nurses and a pretty new doctor as Dr. Cunningham had retired! YEEHAW!! All that and an H1N1 flu virus shot
We went out shopping for a new home phone to set up with our T-Mobile at home phone service. It’s been so long since I have had any kind of home phone service.
With phone in hand we made a trip to the T-Mobile store. I picked up a $40 router for $10 and reduced my telephone bill from $59 to $29 plus the T-Mobile @ Home for $10 and expanded service. This makes up for the $20 increase in cable service so the monthly budget was hurt at all; as a matter of fact we are probably $10 ahead of budget now. Hey, when one is counting pennies it all adds up.
I skipped out of class. Come time to start class we had no instructor. I started an attendance sheet only to find out our new instructor might have been fired and we supposedly were getting a new instructor. Okay, okay, I know skipping out on class after I had signed the attendance sheet wasn’t the right thing to do but hey, I just couldn’t help myself.
I came home to a very sleepy Audie. Prior to leaving for class Audie was definitely a bit on edge from all the goings-on today. As I was leaving I told her if there was any kind of chill-pill in her Rx repertoire she should consider taking one. She evidently took me at my word and was pretty damned mellow by the time I came home tonight. She went to bed shortly after that.
Fidgeted with the new phone to set up the voice mailbox and the outgoing message; also made calls to friends letting them know of the change.
Is it possible this computer could be running better with the new router hooked to it? It certainly seem that way.
P.M. Prayer: Scata/Skahdi:
Scata/Skahdi, fleet on your skis and let me be the game you bag with you bow. Stun me with your grace and beauty, tuck me in the skin-sack at your side, and then take me to your home where wolves howl. There, teach me to know the pleasure of the hunt, the joy of exertion, and the crisp freedom of winter and wilderness. Brand my soul with wind-burn, so that even in the tedium of daily life, I will feel your warm breath, warm on my check, telling me to be strong, able and worthy of you. SCATA/SKAHDI, HAIL!!
P.M. Rune: none
Comments: cared for animals, Meeka inside: this will be the coldest night for us this winter.
