Plans: Audie to her parents, me to my niece’s
Donar/Thor, thunder forth in our lives. When we would hold back, let us advance. When we would be weak, help us be strong. When we would shun life’s pleasures, sharpen our appetites for that which is lusty and good. Help us grow from strength, and teach us, elder brother, how to throw our own Hammer, and slay the giants who appose our will. We honor the Thunar/Thor that resides in us. HAIL THUNAR/THOR!!

Quick trip to Quick Trip http://www.quiktrip.com/ so Audie could have some milk to
make her cake.
Dillon’s http://www.dillons.com/Pages/default.aspx for my tossed salad fixings
Ya know, one of these days I’m sure Audie and I will attend family things together. Her family and my family plan T-Day events on the same day at the same time. Until one changes, it just has to be this way. I just wonder if this is my Berkana (R)?
I think Audrey had a pretty good time at her parents’ house.
I was late getting over to my niece’s but I had a good time nonetheless. My newest great nephew is right around 6 month’s old. He’s quite the momma’s boy, but today he was certainly taking a shine to me. I took the chance and offered to hold him while they were all cleaning up after dinner. IT WAS A SUCCESS! Kaeden never cried once for his momma and was very content me holding him. YESSSSSSSSS! Hey, I have picture proof! Also, I was given four items from my sister-in-law:
*A 1966 Lehigh (Kansas) yearbook that has my mother’s graduating class picture from 1944 in the “Glimpses of the Past” section. There’s my momma on page 47! There’s my cousin Marlin Schmidt on page 10 as part of that year’s graduating class.
*A book about where my father worked in the Navy. The book is called JICPOA; Joint Intelligence Center, Pacific Ocean Areas, Pearl Harbor, 1945: Photo-Litho Section. There’s my daddy on page 66, Printer 3rd Class, truck driver!
*A wedding picture of my Mother and Father I have never seen.
*A Dog-N-Shake plate she evidently had made somewhere.
On the way home I explored a bit of the Kansas countryside as well as the town of Cheney (pronounced Chee’-nee) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheney,_Kansas. It’s the home of the Sedgwick County State Fair http://www.ourcountyfair.com/. Pretty rustic. I also explored a part of Lake Afton http://www.sedgwickcounty.org/lake_afton/ I had never seen. It was a nice trip home.
It certainly didn’t take Audrey long to crash.
Meeka for an evening walk.

PM Prayer: Heimdall:
HEAR ME HEIMO/HEIMDALL, you’re the genetic link between the gods and humankind. Your keen eyes and sharp ears guard the world of the gods. As you stand so alert for the approach of giants, remind us that we must also watch for our own encroaching evil. Let weakness, cowardice, lies and dishonor be barred from the Rainbow Bridge leading to our heart’s abode. Be a model for vigilance, that we may rise to the best that is in us, and someday join the Noble Gods in their shining home. We honor the Heimdall that resides in us. HAIL HEIMO/HEIMDALL!!
