compassion you showed during the loss of Meeka. I know that Audie shares in
this sentiment as well.
Meeka was given to me several years ago by my shop-lead while at
Hawker-Beechcraft. Even then she had health problems. When I got her she had
hook and whip worms that could have killed her but for the intervention of
medication and her veterinary at Air Capital Veterinary here in Wichita Kansas.
It took several months but Meeka was a trooper and battled through it. She
continued her monthly treatments. Eventually, it was to be discovered that her
thyroid was producing no hormones. She was taking medication for that.
Subsequently, she started having seizures and she was battling through that as
well with daily medication. However, it was renal failure that eventually
poisoned her body and took Meeka from me.
Thank you ALL, for your kind words of support, love and compassion during
this time of loss. Having to put down a family member such as Meeka was the
hardest, yet the most compassionate thing I think I will ever have to endure.
You Have no idea how much your kind words means to Audie and me,
Kudos to Dr. Richard Bartel, at Air Capital Veterinary, without whom I would
have lost Meeka a long time ago.
Peace and love.
