It’s a rather nice, rain-cooled morning.

Good AM work, but a bad weekend bled over into a bad mood.

It saddens me to think that FOURTEEN of my sixteen years in Heathenry, trying to make a difference in Wichita for Heathenry has come to nothing.  I’m not making a public declaration, but as far as I’m concerned, Rheinwood is now inactive.  I just hope I’ve touched somebody’s life in a positive ways during that time.  As long as I live Rheinwood is never dead.   I AM Rheinwood and Rheinwood IS me.  She can be revived at any time.  Nonetheless, It’s been a real waste of my time, a MAJOR disappointment, trying to form Kindred/Liut.  Evidently, what I have to offer means nothing to others. 
I’ve tried to create things that others might enjoy; a sheltered Hof/Haruc, an
outdoor Vé /Wî stat, and have invited others to enjoy them with me.  I will no longer push the group idea and no longer consider myself Harugari/Godhi. It seems that what is mostly wanted today is a loosely knit group of friendly Heathens with no real ties to each other, meeting only on occasion.  They can have that mentality. Yet, the LONG-STANDING relationship with Ravenheart Kindred remains well in tact.

I give HEIL to Midsummer!  It’s the longest day and the shortest night.  From now forward, the days get shorter and the nights get longer as we slide into my favorite time of the year:  AUTUMN!  Why, then, do we call it Midsummer when summer is actually just beginning?  In the old calendar, there were only two seasons; winter and summer.  Summer actually began at the spring equinox, noted be the ability of ships to pull away from the harbor and farmers could start planning their crops.  We call the spring equinox, Summer Finding; hence, the beginning of Summer.  The summer solstice, Mid-summer, then, is mid-way between Sumer Finding and the Autumnal Equinox, or Winter Finding.

It certainly didn’t take long for Eihwaz and Thorn to show up.
AM work was challenging from the beginning.  I THOUGHT there might be an issue yesterday when counting my parts.  This morning, oh yeah, one part short.  I looked all over to make sure “I” didn’t misplace it.  It took the lead person to make a trip to the Mazak cell to find it.  Well hel, that shot about an hour. 
Work improved after that.
Home for lunch.  Called Socks. I hurried to get Toby inside to give him meds. Loved on Essie.  Socks was at the door waiting for me to come back out.

locally.  It seems my local TAA rep is my best choice for info.  I have more
money coming and $3,000+ in my RTAA account.  YES!
