GIVE HAIL TO THE SPRING EQUINOX! GIVE HAIL TO OSTARA!
I snuck out at the crock-o-dawn to get Audie her Spring Equinox gift; a cow, with bunny ears, holding onto a basket of robin-egg-whoppers, Cadbury eggs and peanut butter with chocolate eggs.
Plans: ?
Ziu/Tyr, Great God of bravery, you chained the Fenris Wolf that threatened the worlds. We can’t do that, but we can do other things, some ordinary, others heroic. Remind us of your bravery and your sacrifice. Give us the courage and strength we need to fetter out own Fenris. Keep us mindful of our duties, and help us keep our fears bound as tightly as you bound old Slaver Mouth. Thus doing, may we share in your glory by imitating you. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HAIL, ZIU/TYR, as we honor the Ziu that resides in us all!
Elder Rune Summons
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the physical man the day
emotional, spiritual), a Norn Rune, force friction, a stress indicator,
opportunity for change, urgency, a generating force for the greater good,
friction, transformation, resistance leading to strength, an evolutionary change toward a more holistic state, Fate.
Armanen Rune Summons
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today
balancing justice, art, capability, artist, genius, being favored, procreation, the child, force, that which is established, World Tree, power, generation, ability and artfulness, executive power of balancing
justice, sensuality, higher consciousness.
Outcome: I LOVE it when the Runes explain so well what I’m feeling!
I doubled up on workouts since I couldn’t walk yesterday; low-weight-hi-rep weight-bearing workout, coupled with a 1.5 mile walk.
It’s beautifully overcast, rainy/drizzly
We’re having some very nice soaking rains. If this doesn’t kick our drought out I don’t know what will; well, other than a deluge!
I finished “Germanic Heathenry” for the 2nd go-around. I made sure to absolutely dissect every bit that I could which made for an even more powerful reading than the 1st
time. I couldn’t believe I was actually READING things like the glossary and pronunciation guide and name elements: fascinating stuff! My disappointment came when the author was giving his rendition of the Havamal and stopped/didn’t include Wodan’s Rune Song. I’m sold on what is presented in this book as a spiritual guide for the rest of my life!
A conversation with my Thauling tells me the door is wide open for Rheinwood Hearth Kindred to become Rheinwood Nordliut. Kind of catchy, wouldn’t you say?

Nirdu/Njord, beloved god of harbors and seas close to land, Father of the Vanir; Fro and Froja, help us to remember the
cargoes of wealth that float to our doors daily from the wonderful universe in which we live. Though our misfortunes may rise and fall like the tides, the chance of prosperity, like the eternal sea brimming with fish, is still there. Like the salt-sea spray, awaken us to the possibilities that surround us, so that our nets may be cast wide and return full of life’s gifts. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HAIL, NIRDU/NJORD, as we honor the Nirdu that resides in us all!
