It’s a beautifully cool morning (55C/13C). Toby was perfectly behaved on his one-mile walk.
A_ was here shortly after 08:30 to collect a few things. She only gave Pyewacket cursory scratch and a few kind words. I started shedding tears for Pye as Pye kind of looked at her asking, “What the fuck, mom?” As A_ left and I watched Pye watch her go away the tears REALLY started flowing. It was like A_ was callously walking away for her child. My heart just broke for Pye. I went out to sit with Pye on the porch telling her I don’t know how she could do it. Tears are still flowing. I hurt for Pye. On a side note, I saw her father wave at me from the car; not once but twice. I think he knows I’m not the bad guy in this.
Toby and Essie are all over me now.
Good slow morning
I just wasn’t into the fair today. Thorgrim returned a drinking horn I’ve been trying to get for years. The table I was looking at was already sold. I gave Helgi 9 empty bottles for the 9 bottles of mead he sold me. Other than that my mind was on homework I need to get done today. Rather than wonder around behind the little animals I decided to come home.

OMGs! Pyewacket has come inside the house…TWICE! The first time was pretty much and in and out, but the second time she actually stayed a while to check things out.
